Coastal Golf and Classic Irish Charm

With two 18-hole courses and breathtaking views of the Atlantic, the Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort in Donegal, Ireland‘s untamed northwest coast, offers a true links golf experience. The later-built Smuggler’s Course offers a more forgiving but still interesting layout than the difficult Sandy Hills course, which was created by Old Tom Morris and features natural dunes and tricky wind conditions. Traditional and cosy, the resort’s lodgings provide a laid-back atmosphere that blends well with the surroundings.

There’s a good, laid-back restaurant with Irish food and a friendly bar where you can relax after your round. The serene yet isolated setting is perfect for golfers who wish to concentrate on their game without outside interruptions.

Key Information

Course Design

Rosapenna is still a wild place, where links golf meets untrammeled seaside views. Sandy Hills challenges even seasoned veterans with its bumps and sea breezes, then Smuggler’s Links offers a more relaxing round without sacrificing seascapes’ thrill. Between and after rounds, you can stroll the deserted beaches, soak up Donegal’s wind-blown views, or just relax with a pint of Guinness with other travelers. It’s the kind of golf vacation golfers dream of – authentic, scenic, and highly rewarding.

With challenging greens and undulating fairways overlooking the Atlantic, the courses at Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort offer a test for golfers of all abilities.
